Center Up Body Training System

About

Exercising and moving through life with poor muscle activation and biomechanics only serves to reinforce poor movement patterns and compensations that cause daily tightness and tension, fostering continued poor posture, poor breathing mechanics, and poor core activation. These compensations lead to weakness, imbalance, decreased performance, wear and tear, breakdown and eventual injury. The Center Up Body Training System is a systematic and progressive exercise and training program developed by the clinical team at Doylestown Sports Medicine Center. The courses and classes teach and instruct the necessary foundational concepts of form, that is muscle activation and recruitment, coupled with proper biomechanics to promote effective and efficient posture, breath and core stability with movement. With all levels of CUBTS, exercises are to be preformed with proper form, activation, recruitment, biomechanics and pace. Achieving these concepts of the Center Up Body Training System are essential for optimal stability, mobility, performance in life, activity and sport. This program is NOT intended for self-guided, do-it-yourself, rehabilitation of any condition or injury. In the case of recovery from a physical injury or condition, the Center Up Body Training System should ONLY be used under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist trained in the CUBTS program. The videos in the CUBTS system are the audible and visual complement to most exercise handouts prescribed to you during your in-clinic sessions. These videos are designed to improve the at-home learning process and help ensure that you are able to complete your exercises properly. This allows you to come to you sessions with a greater understanding, and better questions. The goal is to accelerate the learning process, thus allowing your therapists to focus on refinement and progression.
